Sebastopol to Occidental

Walk from Sebastopol to Occidental through small towns, vineyards, rolling countryside, and the quiet beauty of the redwoods.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 

What to Wear:

Clothing choices will depend on the weather so please check the weather forecast before you start each stage.  Generally on Stage 4, mornings are cool and afternoons can be warmer.  In the winter, rain coats and hats may be needed.  Layers will be important. Hiking boots and poles are not generally needed.  A good hat and sunglasses are a must.  

What to Bring 

Bring a daypack, water, snacks, lunch, blister kit, first aid kit, extra socks…

Opening Circle begins at 8:00 am.

FINISH

Occidental - Parking lot of St. Philip’s.  

CARPOOLING

7:15 am 

Occidental - St. Philip’s Church parking lot - to the left facing the church  

Park in the small lot between Negri’s and St. Philips

Guides will be here to assist pilgrims in finding carpools to return to the Stage 4 start in Sebastopol Central Park.  Park in the parking lot of St. Philip’s Church.

On the trail 

Pack a lunch, snack and water and/or beverage(s).  Food and water will be available for purchase at Whole Foods in Sebastopol or at Andy’s Market along the way.  

BATHROOM STOPS

Graton Market, Porta Potty @ Chenowith Vineyard Management

There will be a Porta-Potty in the parking lot behind Mary’s Pizza Shack and many stops along the way.
