Caminata: Glen Ellen

Our walk will start and finish at Glen Ellen Village Market.

This scenic 9-mile walk, with a 1100-foot elevation gain, covers Sonoma Valley Regional Park, including Suttonfield Lake, and the historic Sonoma Developmental Center complex, featuring Eldridge Cemetery. We'll traverse trails through oak-covered hillsides and shaded redwood forests along the eastern slope of Sonoma Mountain. We'll admire the beauty of Fern Lake, be awed by The Ancient Redwood, and explore the historic orchards at Camp Via in Jack London State Park. We'll return to Sonoma Valley Regional Park via Carolyn Day Trail and follow the Valley of the Moon trail back to Glen Ellen.

Arrive early for coffee and pastries at Les Pascals Patisserie and Glen Ellen Village Market, and stay after the walk for lunch at the picnic area next to Glen Ellen Village Market.
